How I work

A few habits I keep using at work—not a grand framework. Each one links to a project.

Agree on the words first

Do sales and engineering mean the same thing? Adding features before that just makes the split worse.

Draw who does what

Who starts, who approves, who does the work, who reconciles. If that is not drawable, do not split screens yet.

Used in

Make it configurable, not a one-off campaign

A campaign ends. If rules, pools, and onboarding can be changed in admin, you do not rebuild every time.

Used in

Do not take over the shop floor

Admin is documents and coordination. The floor already has a control system—integrate, do not rewrite it.

Used in

You should be able to see if it worked

Say who does what in which situation. If you have no number, write the behavior. Do not invent a metric.

Draw the AI boundary first

Then the job was hosting the training environment. Now it is judging where not to paste an “AI feature.”
